After more than 30 years in the property industry, Gil Williams has just about done it all. After working with three of Melbourne’s leading eastern suburbs agencies the passion for property led to his own agency, Gil Williams & Co Pty Ltd in Hawthorn in the inner eastern suburbs of Melbourne. This business grew from 1976 and in the mid 80s acquired the real estate arm of Perpetual Trustees and subsequently two more offices at Camberwell and Box Hill came under the Gil Williams & Co banner. The multi office agency thrived on marketing literally every type of property imaginable and always looking for a new challenge. Further offices were opened on St Kilda Rd, Melbourne, and Brisbane.
 
Along with the thousands of auctions as Marketing agent and auctioneer and countless private sales of residential properties and new homes, other marketing challenges included hotels, alpine lodges, wineries, the largest historic building in the State, the original Abbotsford Brewery, country estates, businesses and national franchising and corporate consulting from Cairns to Perth.
 
As part of his Master of Business Administration course, he studied $82 billion worth of property portfolios controlled by the 23 largest Insurance Co/Fund Managers/Developers in Australia. This identified the key success factors and a step-by-step ideal critical path for property investment. 
 
Investment advising along with home acquisitions have become Gil's driving passion. Now Gil, as the founding director of Buyers Advocate Australia, offers the satisfaction of helping others get a distinct advantage and make property purchasing safer and more rewarding for every client.
